Coaches Corner - RMU

We beat Robert Morris 13-12 on Saturday.  It was another comeback win, trailing 6-4 at half and 12-10 in the fourth. Robert Morris played a tough game, and their goalie was very good.  Our offense was a little sloppy in the first half, but we really got things going in the second.  Robert Church (5g 2a) and Ryan Belka (3g 1a) led the way.  Freshman Frank Fusco scored his only goal of the game with just under two minutes remaining, his second game winner of the week.  Nick Saputo was dominant at the FO circle winning 21 of 29.  Our 6 vs. 6 defense was decent, but we gave up a ton of transition goals.  We've got a week of practice to get ready for Bryant.  I'm happy that we're 3-1, but we need to get better.  We've got a lot of work to do on our defense, and we'll try to figure out how to get the team to start games stronger.
