Coaches Corner - Albany Recap

Coaches Corner - Albany Recap

Wow!  We won a crazy game 20-19 against a very good Albany team.  I've never been a part of a game like it.  We went down 7-1 in the first quarter, 10-3 in the middle of the second, and 10-5 at halftime.  The guys staged an incredible comeback in the third quarter, and took a 14-13 lead into the fourth.  We had a 4 goal lead with seven minutes to play, but Albany kept fighting.  They had a few chances at the end, but we got a huge stop to seal the win.

There were a ton of offensive leaders- Ben McIntosh (4g 2a), Nick Trizano (4g 2a), Aaron Prosser (3g 3a), Ryan Belka (3g 2a), Robert Church (2g 3a), and Frank Fusco (3g).  Our defense is a work in progress, but Will Gabrielsen had an outstanding day making 18 saves.  I give our guys a lot of credit.  They could have easily folded, but kept grinding away and got a huge win.

We are 1-1, and I feel both teams we have played are quality teams.  The offense has put together two great games, but the defense obviously needs to be better.  Things turn around quickly.  We have a huge game against Villanova at home on Tuesday at 7pm.  Come out and support the team if you can.
